First conceived by Michael back in 2010, the Corpocracy exhibition will open at the Station museum this Oct. 10th. The exhibition focused on the corporate co-opting of democracy, will feature an international who’s who of activist artists including Michael, Ron English, Clark Fox, Dread Scott, Eugenio Merino, Kenneth Tin-Kin Hung, Packard Jennings, Steve Lambert, Mark Lombardi, Yoshua Okón, Stephanie Syjuco, Judi Werthein and the Beehive Design Collective.
Here’s a review by The Huffington Post and one by The Houston Chronicle.
Only the Station museum’s famed maverick director, Jim Harrington would be brave enough to host such hard-hitting, anti-corporate exhibit in the very heart of oil country, Houston, Texas. The show, curated by Alan Schnitzer will run through to the end of the year. The Station Museum of Contemporary Art is a private museum devoted to contemporary art located at 1502 Alabama St, Houston, TX. For more info go to http://www.stationmuseum.com.
