First They Came For Obamacare

Trump, Price and Paul Ryan removing Medicare from patientMarch 17, 2017 – Paul Ryan’s proposed healthcare budget repeals and replaces Obamacare with tax credits that reduces the federal budget by 337 billion dollars, leaves 24 million people uninsured, and gives tax breaks to the rich. He promises better insurance, but how can that be true if the federal government takes that much money out of the healthcare budget. Ryan has stated that healthcare is not a right or the responsibility of the government. That means we are on our own, vulnerable to losing our life savings or life should we need an operation or other medical emergency we can not afford.  Under the Ryan plan, the very rich survive and the rest of us…

With the “fuck ’em” attitude shared by Ryan, Price and Trump towards healthcare, how much longer will it be before they repeal and replace Medicare with a tax credit that will most certainly be a small fraction of Medicare benefits?

Spend My Taxes On Meds Not Bullets

Our Taxes should go to Meds, not BulletsMarch 4, 2017 The Republican budget increases military spending while reducing healthcare. We already have more than twice the defense budget of Russia & China combined yet we remain the only industrialized country that doesn’t provide it’s citizens with universal healthcare. President Trump says he wants to keep us safe. He doesn’t have to do much research to know that Americans are much more likely to die from a lack of medical coverage than a military attack. What’s being protected aren’t American lives, it’s the profits of the military industrial, insurance and pharmaceutical complexes.

Call your representative and tell them you want meds, not bullets. #MedsNotBullets
